Music is everything to me. It is present in every moment of my life, including the good, the bad, and everything in between. Music has the power to evoke emotion and memory, and it often fills in the gaps when I cannot find words to express how I feel.
Cassette tapes are the perfect way to use music as an emotional expression. Through the process of curating a playlist, recording the tape, and creating a personalized cover, you are creating an audio love letter for someone.
For this project, I wanted to use music as a way to express my gratitude for the people in my life who played an important role in my graduate school experience. For each individual, I created an audio love letter personalized to who they are and what they mean to me.
